Q: How can I become a Registered Massage Therapist in BC?

A:If you want to become a Registered Massage Therapist in BC, you need to finish over 3, 000 hours of training at an accredited college. You would study chronic disease management as well as management of injuries and stress, in depth. Areas of study also include remedial exercise, hydrotherapy, manual skills, and more. Please see the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia website for more information about RMT education and training.

Q: Do I need a referral from my doctor to visit Langley Massage Therapy Clinic?

A:No, we don't need referrals. However, we advise you to go over your extended health plan to confirm if it needs your doctor's referral to see a massage therapist.

Q: Does Medical Services Plan cover massage therapy?

A:All plans are different, so we would recommend you to examine your plan before scheduling your treatment.

Q: What kind of clothing should be worn for a massage session?

A:It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing so that it is easier for Maureen to assess and treat the area of your body that needs attention.

Q: Are there any post-therapy guidelines that I need to follow?

A:After your treatment session, you would need to relax your body to give it room to adjust to the manual techniques involved in massage therapy. Also, you should drink ample water to cleanse your body of toxins.
